Beaver County Crime News Sources
Start with the record path, not the headline. The Beaver County Sheriff and jail pages offer no verified public roster or booking feed. So questions about who is currently in custody belong with the county custodian or the arresting agency. Pennsylvania State Police work differently. Their PSP Public Information Release Reports page publishes releases rather than county booking records.
Filter those PSP releases by county, station, year, and month. They stay online for 30 days. Subscriptions cover selected reports. In short, the service is a narrow incident-release channel. It is not a complete Beaver County arrest list, and it never promises a booking photo exists. For later court action, turn to UJS Case Search. For a record held by a county office, file a Right-to-Know request.
A good request names the person, the date range, the agency, and the record wanted, whenever those details are known. The custodian may point to a public record, cite an exemption, or send you elsewhere entirely. This route matters mainly where no public web feed exists. It still won't open every investigative file or photograph.
Official sources answer custody and procedure questions. News stories add context but can't supply a final outcome on their own.
Beaver County News Outlet Map
Two outlets anchor local reporting: Beaver County Radio and the Beaver County Times. Both are news-driven, not arrest ledgers. A story can focus on Aliquippa, Beaver Falls, Beaver, or another town. It may not tell you where someone was booked or whether they remain in custody. Read the source credit and the image type as part of each report.
| Outlet | Coverage | Photos? | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| PSP PIRR | Official PSP incident releases only, with county and station filters. | Not a Beaver County booking-photo source. | PSP releases |
| Beaver County Sheriff and Jail | County operational and custody contacts. | No verified public current roster or feed. | Sheriff’s Office |
| Beaver County Radio | Frequent, incident-driven local reporting. | May use agency, reporter, property, vehicle, file, or no image. | News |
| Beaver County Times | Local crime reporting and a historical newspaper archive. | Variable; no fixed booking-photo cadence confirmed. | Crime section |
| Mugshots.com | Unofficial historical Beaver County index. | Not a current-custody source. | Secondary source only, described below. |
The openly accessible Beaver County Radio News page is a frequent, local reporting source.
Beaver County Times crime section is the local daily newspaper's main crime landing page. Its reporting covers selected incidents and police releases, not every booking at the Regional Booking Center.
The NewsBank archive stretches from 2001 to the present. Access can be subscriber-gated, though. And an arrest story in the archive still doesn't guarantee a photograph.
Beaver County Incident Photos
An image beside a local crime story is not automatically a Regional Booking Center portrait. Beaver County Radio reports can carry police-supplied photographs, reporter or photographer shots, seized-property images, vehicle or file photographs, or nothing at all. The credit line matters. It tells you what the picture depicts and who supplied it.
A February 2026 Beaver Falls search-and-arrest report credited its photographs to the City of Beaver Falls Police Department. That credit is case-specific. It does not mean the county runs a web gallery or that every arrest comes with a public image. For local police and booking context, see the Beaver Falls Busted Mugshots record route.
Coverage can also reuse an older file image after an agency release, or show evidence instead of a person. A missing photo doesn't mean no arrest occurred. Only the court docket records what happened next.
Beaver County Stories to Court Records
Work from the story to the responsible record in order. That keeps reported facts separate from the later legal result. It also stops a headline or photo from standing in as a custody update. The county-wide Beaver County record routes gather the Sheriff, jail, public-record, and court channels in one place.
- Save the story’s date, spelling of the name, arresting agency, and any case or docket detail it reports.
- For an immediate custody question, contact the Sheriff, jail, Regional Booking Center, or arresting agency. The county has no verified public current roster to replace that check.
- For a PSP incident, search the appropriate county or station release on PSP PIRR while it remains in the 30-day public window.
- Search UJS by participant name, docket number, OTN, complaint or citation, county, court, or case status, then select Beaver County where available.
- If a county office holds the record, submit a targeted Right-to-Know request to the proper custodian and ask for the existing record, not a conclusion about the case.
UJS can display MDJ and Common Pleas dockets, charges, hearing dates, bail entries, and eventual dispositions. It is not a custody feed. Recent filings take time to appear. Some matters are restricted, sealed, expunged, juvenile, or otherwise closed to the public.
Beaver County's court sequence can begin with video or in-person arraignment. From there it moves through bail, a preliminary hearing, Common Pleas proceedings, and final disposition. The public docket is where the booking-stage charge separates from what happened later. Someone can also leave county custody through bond, recognizance, a summons, transfer, or another court action. That is exactly why a headline can't serve as a live custody check.
Beaver County Video Arraignment Trail
A booking and a court case are two different trails in Beaver County. Both begin at the Regional Booking Center, which runs intake and video arraignments for local, state, and federal agencies. From there the paths split. The Clerk of Courts keeps the criminal dockets, bail records, warrants, and commitments, while UJS offers a public case trail when one is available.
That division matters for anyone tracing an arrest record. A booking reference only marks the start. Bail decisions, hearings, dismissals, pleas, and trials all land in the court files, so the Clerk and UJS are where those answers live rather than in a news caption.
Note: Dockets can change after a report runs, so check the current court record before treating a reported charge as final.
Beaver County Historical News Files
Digging for older crime coverage means turning to archives rather than live databases. The Beaver County History Center collection holds newspaper microfilm from the early 1800s to the present. Digital readers are available, plus print and USB copies. Down the road, the Research Center in Beaver Falls keeps local newspaper microfilm back to 1830, along with clippings and other research material.
These collections shine when you already know a story's headline and rough date. They are research archives, though, not booking-photo repositories.
Secondary Beaver County Mugshot Sources
Start with official sources every time. Only one local third-party page stands out: Mugshots.com's Beaver County section. It holds roughly 755 historical entries. Most are dated 2013 through 2017. Alphabetical and city filters help narrow a search. Think of it as an unofficial historical index, not a live roster and not a court record system.
Third-party sites can be stale, duplicated, or simply wrong. Verify anything found there first. Check with the Sheriff, the responsible agency, the Clerk, or UJS before relying on it.
The RecentlyBooked Pennsylvania index does not include Beaver County. Watch out for a similarly named Beaver page from another state. It has nothing to do with Pennsylvania.
That gap leaves the statewide index useless as a Beaver County record path or as proof of any current booking. The Mugshots.zone about page explains how that site publishes material in general terms, but no exact Beaver County, Pennsylvania page is confirmed.
With no verified local route, Mugshots.zone works only as a broad third-party reference, not a source for Beaver County custody, charges, or court outcomes.
